A liner removal tool set pulls liners that are stuck after years of service. The set combines a puller plate, a bridge that sits on the block deck and a forcing screw, so the operator can break the seal without hammering the liner or the block.

How to use a cylinder liner removal tool

  1. Fit the bridge across the block deck and align it with the liner centre.
  2. Insert the puller plate into the liner and expand it.
  3. Turn the forcing screw progressively to break the liner seal.
  4. Lift the liner out, then inspect the block bore and O-ring seat.
  5. Never pry a liner with a bar - it cracks the block deck.
