cylinder liner installation tool - workshop tooling supplied by EPID
An installation tool presses the new liner into the block squarely and to the correct depth, protecting the O-rings and the liner seat from rolling or shearing during fitting.
How to use a cylinder liner installation tool
Fit new O-rings and the correct shims to the liner and lubricate them.
Clean and lightly oil the block bore.
Place the installation plate over the liner flange.
Press or tap the liner down evenly - never on one side only.
Re-check protrusion before fitting the piston and head.
They fit wet and dry liner diesel engines including Weichai WD615/WD10/WP10/WP12, Cummins 6BT/6CT/L10/N14, Yuchai YC4D/YC6108 and Baudouin 4M06/6M33 series. Tell us the liner bore and we will confirm the right shoes.
Yes. We supply cylinder liners, liner kits, pistons, rings and the fitting tools, so a workshop can order a complete rebuild set in one shipment.
Standard shoe sets cover liner bores from about 90 mm to 160 mm, with special shoes made to order for larger industrial engines.
